Abstract:
This research is concerning the distribution of monastic products in abbey shops. In this context imbued with religion and cadenced by prayer and work, we aim to characterize the time reference in shopping experience. Through qualitative interviews conducted with buyers of monastic products in abbey shops, the results show that sense of time permeates the praxeological, hedonico-sensorial and rhetorical dimensions of the experience. These results enrich the definition of the content of shopping experience, and justify operational implications towards monastic products distributors and, more widely, towards heritage products distributors.
